Place bread in greased 2 quart baking dish. Combine the water and brown sugar and pour over the bread. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 60 minute, or until a knife near the center comes out clean.
Serve with whip cream or ice cream. (My guys like canned milk over it too.)
I used some old homemade bread one time and this was the best bread pudding I have ever made.
